We like to demonstrate that just about any bike can be converted to electric power. This Cannondale CAD3 road bike had been sitting unused for almost 10 years when it was given a new life as an electric vehicle. A custom triangle shaped box was designed to carry a small triangle battery and painted to match. The drop bars were replaced with straight bars and new e-bike rated tires complete the conversion.

- 48V 12.8AH Lithium-Ion triangle made from 3200mAH Panasonic BD cells. Battery is good for 25-30 miles range at 22mph average speed.
- Custom 3D printed battery box, painted to match.
Motor
- Bafang BBS02 motor with stock 46T chainring.
- Top speed about 34 mph!
- Excellent hill climbing ability.
